Following the appointment of the 2026 AFL Masters WA Board, a refined portfolio structure has been introduced to strengthen leadership across key areas of the competition.
The updated structure enhances the Board’s ability to focus on participation, engagement and the wellbeing of the Western Australian Masters football community, while maintaining strong connections with stakeholders across the state.
Newly appointed AFL Masters WA Chair Christopher Tyson said the appointments demonstrate the Board’s commitment to strong leadership and a clear strategic direction for AFL Masters WA.
“These portfolios align with our three strategic pillars, Governance and Leadership, Participation and Football Experience, and Growth and Engagement, enabling the Board to work collectively to support members, players, volunteers, clubs and the broader AFL Masters football community,” Tyson said.
“Masters football is about connection. It provides people with the opportunity to stay involved in the game while enjoying the camaraderie and community that makes our competition so special.”
“This structure gives each director a clear focus area, strengthening the Board’s ability to support growth, deepen engagement and enhance the experience for everyone involved in Masters football across Western Australia.”
