During a May weekend the mighty Kalgoorlie Masters Football Club hosted a mini-carnival which included 3 Teams made up of local Mining Companies.

The day was a huge success and drew a crowd of over 500 punters who were witness to some of the greatest football ever displayed east of Rottnest.

The Footy was most importantly played in terrific spirit and yet again some amazing draws were played out. 

One of the Managers at Evolution Mining during the week leading up to the Carnival made an inquiry regarding our Charity Beneficiary.  Kalgoorlie President, Brodie Clynk thought nothing of the conversation until the awards presentation when Evolution Mining stunned everyone by presenting a $5,000 cheque to Beyond Blue.

Brodie and the Miners would like to make special mention of the other 2 companies involved in making the day such a success, Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mine (KCGM) and Northern Star Resources and of course Evolution Mining for their very generous donation.   

Although not the major highlight of the day, the crowd took great delight in seeing Phil Matera sneak out for a few goals and some leather posioning whilst playing for Northern Star Resources.
